I'm a freelance artist educator and don't think of my art practice and my role as educator as separate in any way: the classroom is a live art piece and teaching is my practice.

I specialise in drawing - I believe drawing is so much more than a mark on paper but that's absolutely where we all start. I teach drawing in various educational spaces and I used to teach at the independent art school Art Academy London where I was the Head Of Drawing For Public Programmes and the Fine Art Certificate Programme Leader. Sadly though, the Academy closed for good in July 2026.

I'm also involved in learning and knowledge sharing in various alternative art education spaces: learning absolutely does not only happen in traditional academic institutions and lifelong learning should be available and accessible to all. Art education in all its forms is essential and should be embedded into the fabric of everyday life - its essential, not a privilege and I do my best to promote this.

I have a long-standing love affair with whisky. The pandemic scuppered me working in the industry, but I still use whisky as an alternative education tool and as a way to unlock and interrogate collective consciousness/unconsciousness.
